I have a 2000 Coleman Sedona with a split alum roof.  The air conditioner (Coleman Mach) apparently needs the capacitors replaced.  Having never serviced the air conditioner from the outside, I have to ask the question:

How much weight can I put on the roof?  Can all 200lbs of me just sit/lay up there, or do I need some way of standing on a platform to work on the thing?

I belive the Coleman roof can support 350 lbs. when closed-up. but the roof skin is thin and dents easlily. I would place a sheet of plywood on the roof to help spread out the wieght.
someone will correct me about the 350 lbs if I am wrong.

300 pounds on the roof when you are popped down and 150 pounds on the roof when it is up.:)

A agree with using something to spread the weight out over a larger roof surface. Even a 1/4" sheet of luan will spread out the loading so you won't "point load" the roof surface.
