I'll throw this out to see what kind of response might be generated.

We go camping over Memorial Day each year.  We can't travel much further than an hour's drive from Corning, NY due to church obligations here at home.  Thus most of the COTOC trips are out of reach for us.  We really enjoyed meeting all you who attended the rally and would love to see you again and meet more.

At any rate, I'm thinking of making reservations for Sampson State Park, which is on the east shore of Seneca Lake about 20 minutes drive north of Watkins Glen.  We stayed in the 5 loop and found it to be really nice.  Click   here for the webpage listing on the park.  The park itself is really nice, well know and used frequently by locals.  There's a nice museum on the grounds and lots of paved bike paths left over from the old Naval base.  They can also be used for hiking.  Anyone interested?

Sorry Dave, we already have reservations for RB Winter SP, in PA for Memorial Day weekend.  DS's BSA troop marches in a parade on the Sunday of the holiday weekend, so we need to stay close to home on that holiday.:)

Sorry here too Dave, but I rarely go camping on major holidays anymore.

The summer beach (to the south) and mountain (to the north) have the roads too conjested down here. I work in a complex on US 13, so holiday weeks and weekends we cannot hardly get out of the complex onto 13 for all the traffic.  So we have opted not to go camping on Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day Weekends.  And 1 hour away from you is at best 5 hours for me.
