Does anyone out there know what company made coleman popups back in the late 1980's ?  The reason im wondering is because my inlaws are getting rid of their 1987-ish coleman sequoia and I'm not sure if it is worth stripping some parts for our 1998 coleman/fleetwood.  The parts I have in mind are the bunk canvas "arch" supports, some awning poles, ect
Some squirrels and chipmunks have been the only ones camping in it over the last few years, the canvas and cushons are pretty chewed up.
thanks in advance for any info.

Frankly, if the structure is sound (floor, frame, roof, etc.) it may be worth selling like that.  New canvas would be about $1500, I'm not sure about the cushions, but there are people who would drop $500 on a trailer like that in order to restore it.

I agree !!! Let someone restore it if its in pretty decent shape. Coleman has always made there own PU. At one point (don't know year) they sold the rights to the PU to Fleetwood, but there original factory still made the units.  :)

Austin, I think you might be a little high on the estimate.

Friends just replaced all the canvas on a used Jayco for less than $700.  Installed it themselves.

Well, if I was, I'd be in trouble.  I'm clearly priced out of the market.   :yikes:

Thought you might be trying to make a couple extra bucks to finance that noon-time romance. :p

Gone-Camping

If the trailer itself is salvagable condition, they should post that trailer on ebay with the notation that it needs new canvas and let `er rip!! It'll be gone in a week and they will have tidy little lump of cash to show for it!!

On the other hand, if you have a spare part the part you are using will never break.
