I posted this on Mr. fix-it but figured I should have posted here.  What tips do you all have for keeping mice out this winter.  We'll be storing it in a barn but the barn is very open so it really just protects it from snow/rain/sun.

thanks!

I have seen many people answer this question that you need to get under the camper and seal up any holes.
I have also seen people say that bounce dryer sheets keep mice out.
I have never done either but have two cats so I have never had a mouse problem
I hope that helps, you will probably get more detailed answers for folks who know more about it then I do.

I just read a thread on PopupExplorer where someone said cut up several pieces of Irish Spring soap to keep out varmits, I think they most likely meant mice because they were talking about chewed up canvas.
I never heard that one before today but I guess it is like chicken soup, it couldn't hurt!  The popup would smell nice too!

The best thing to do is seal any holes/openings in the camper.  With 2 people, one under the camper and one in the camper.  One person shines a flashlight in every cupboard, etc.  The other person seals any cracks that let light in.  If the opening is larger stuff it with brass wool.  Rodents can not chew through it and it will not rust like steel wool.  I also put mothballs in my camper over the winter.  Some say it will not work, but it doesn't hurt.:)
