The Family and I are thinking about moving up to something New. We're going to keep the PU also though. I love the look of the old RV's and i stumbled on this Serro Scotty, they are brand new and look exactly like the 70's models. I called the company today in Ohio and they are going to start production right after Thanksgiving. They told me they will produce 2 - 3 a week and the price is between 9 and 11 thousand. There will be 2 lenghths, the weight of the RV's is between 1700 lbs and 2200 lbs. I fell in love with the look of these. I'm waiting for the info from the company before we decide. If i do buy one i'll go to Ohio to pick it up and save the shipping cost, and test it out on the trip home at a few campgrounds. Here's the web site if you want to check it out:

I've been looking for an original teardrop for years.  Decided on the PU because the price was right and nobody knew where I can find a teardrop.  Thanks for the info.  Do they have a brochure?  Still desire a vintage, but a hand-built new model might be fun. ;)

My exFIL owns an original Scottie that he's gutted and rebuilt to his single person use/taste. For that it works fine, but for a family it gets rather close.

As for the teardrops, I would almost rather have a tent. At least with a tent I can get one I can stand up in to get dressed.

Call them up and they will send you a brochure, with all the specs and the prices.............Ed C.
