Too bad he had to go off the frequency immediately, and meet his fiance at the luggage area, instead of speaking with her on the flightdeck.

His supervisor was probably over his shoulder, telling him to get off the frequency immediately and pack his things on the way out to the luggage area!

He was reprimanded but not punished.  Not reprimanded severely, either.  Just told not to do it again, which he is not planning on ever needing to.
