I bought a used fleetwood pop up and we love it, however the ABS Plastic roof is developing alot of cracks in it, I was told by the rv shop that it was defective and if I was the original owner they would replace it for free. I'm not and it would cost several thousand dollars, Is there a less expensive fix for this situation, I really don't care about the looks of the fix, but I want it to solve the problem so that I don't develope a leaking roof and damage the rest of my camper. Any sugestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to PUT.  They told you part of the truth.  They would replace the roof for free, but you would have to pay shipping and their shipping charges are very high.  Shipping runs from $300 to close to $1000.  Are the cracks allowing water to get into the camper?  If you don't care how it looks, I would fill the cracks with Marine Goop so that water can't get in and live with it.  I had my ABS roof replaced and don't really like the AlumiTite roof that they replaced it with.  I would hold onto the ABS roof unless it is allowing water to get into the PU.  There is also an ABS repair kit that you could use to fill the cracks, but it is more expensive and harder to work with.  I will look for the link to the ABS kit.:)

Most of them never have a problem.  I have a 2000, and the roof has seen temperatures from -25

I own an Apache Ranger, this is a hard side ABS tent trailer and have had to do repair on ABS parts over the years. There are several sources for ABS pellets. I get them from "http://www.apachecampertrailers.com/index.html". You mix the pelets 50/50 with MEK in a small glass jar "small jam jar works good". This will create a white paste like pancake batter that you can use to fix cracks or breaks. I use it with fiberglass cloth or just as is for small cracks. The surface sould be clean and ruffed up a little. Below is a link that gives a good how to on abs repair that I started with.

Hope this helps.........
