One of my friends makes cinamin bananas every time she comes camping with us (thanks Rae!). I hadn't seen this one posted so I thought I'd add it...

Premix sugar and cinamin at home roughly 50/50. Build a large fire and wait for a good coal bed. Cut the bananas down one side but not through. Add butter and some of the cinamin mix. Wrap in foil and bury in coals for an agonizing 10 minutes or so. Dig out, then carefully unwrap and eat with a spoon...

I'll bet they'd be even better yet with some coolwhip on top.  This sounds too easy.  I'm going to have to try this one on our next trip.

I've had these before and they are soooo good! Also try them with peanut butter; just cut a bigger groove down the banana and fill with peanut butter and mini marshmallows!

Another suggestion is to cut the v into the banana's and put in mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Put the cut piece back in and wrap with foil. Cook in the coals for 10-15 minutes. MMMMMMMoose

We made these at Girl Scout camp outs.  We also made Bananna sundaes out of them with the chocolate and marshmallows topping them off with a scoop of ice cream, sprinkles, and whipped cream with a cherry on top.

I tried this last weekend and somehow it burned.  Do you cook this with the peel on  or off?  I want to try this again, but when my taste buds are all set for it, I want it to taste wonderful :)

I cook mine with the peel on and wrapped in foil.
