winterizing our popup

Hi!  I'm brand new to these forums as we are brand new popup owners.  We have had the pop up since the end of the summer and have enjoyed a couple of trips already.  My question is..do we have to winterize the pop up if it is in our garage?  We plan to take a trip in December to go skiing and will use it then and then again in late Jan./early Feb. to go to Disney.  
The dealership we bought it from didn't think we needed to, but, then again, they seemed to rush all of our questions...

Will the water in the water system freeze in your garage?  If it will not, then you don't need to winterize the water system.  Winterizing is to protect the water system from freezing and breaking.

It may not freeze in the garage, but it will if they take it skiing...

What brand & model pop-up do you have?  How cold does it get where you ski?  Answers to those questions affect what is necessary to prevent freezing.

Well, we have fairly mild winters compared to other parts of the country.  We do get some snow(although last year none) but up in the mountains where we ski(NC mountains) it does get really cold(cold to me at least )  The winters are freezing at night (32 degrees and below) but not lower than say maybe 20 degrees normally) The days can vary up there in the winter from freezing temps to 40s and 50s.

I have a 2004 Fleetwood Laramie pop up camper.

At those temperatures, the plubing inside the camper is safe (assuming you are using some form of heat).

I wonder if you could use heat tape on the tubing that is under the camper?  At 20

The plastic pipes on my Niagara are just PEX tubing, just like that used in home construction.  There are heat tapes specifically made for plastic pipe.

Just be sure to use thermostatically controlled heat tapes, and install according to the manufacturers instruction, particularly those exposed on the underside of the trailer.  

Heat tapes will work, of course, if there is 110v available.  (They may be out there, but I couldn't find any 12v tapes.)
