Hello all ~ we got a beautiful Fleetwood Bayside!  Thanks to all who helped us on this forum!  We've just returned from a great weekend in it at Pedernales Falls SP in Texas!  Awesome park!

Our problem is that we haven't been able to park our popup where we need to at home.  We live on a long narrow lot.  We are wondering if anyone has experience with a 'trailer dollie" that are motorized that enable you to lift, turn & move the trailer in your yard.

Also, how do you suggest to lock the trailer so that no one hitches it up & steals it.

Many thanks!

First of all, congratulations on your new PUP! We just a used one ourselves. I know how much fun it is.

Regarding security of your camper, there is no foolproof way to secure them, but you can do some things to deter would-be thieves enough that maybe they will move on to the next camper down the street. Two things I do...install a Gorilla lock on your trailer coupler...

Gorilla Guard

I also buy a heavy-duty padlock and use Kryptonite cable to lock the trailer frame to a tree or other very sturdy object...

Kryptonite cable locks

By the way, the Kryptonite cables can be bought at Lowe's or Home Depot. I think I bought my Gorilla lock at Boater's World.

There are other measures you can take, as well. It is all in how much trouble and money you want to spend to keep your trailer. Trailer Keeper

Happy Camping!

If you are looking for a powered trailer dolly, Powerwheel has a couple of different kinds, plus one that will attach right to the trailer and drive the trailer wheels.  They are kind of pricey though.

For a non-powered dolly, try Harbor Freight and look for the dollys about halfway down the page.

Don't know if this is an option, but we use a Master coupler lock for security and our lawn/garden tractor for moving the camper around if necessary.
