We are thinking of purchasing Saturn VUE. It would be used as the alternate to the K1500. Does anyone pull a PUP with a Saturn VUE? We have a Fleetwood Colonial. The weight numbers work, we just want a real world point of VIEW. I think the Chevy equinox is a sister to a Saturn VUE.

I was also sort of looking around for a new TV. One of the local RV dealers told me that the Ford Freestar with the 4.2 liter V6 would make a great TV for any PU or small TT with the right hitch set up.
I suggest that you have a look at one of these also.

you may want to consider a 2 or 4wd 4dr wrangler.205hp v6.3500lbs tow cap and fun

Check out the Motor trend revue at http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suv/112_0408_2005_suv_comparisons
which compares the Chevy Equinox, Hyundai Santa Fe (the old version, not the completely new 2007), Saturn Vue, and Ford Escape.  They rate the Equinox number one, Hyundai second, (which I use myself and am quite pleased with), the Saturn Vue third, and Ford Escape fourth.

The Vue is powered by a Honda engine, and the Equinox,  based upon the same chassis, is powered by an engine built in China.  Since this compares the old version of the Santa Fe, you may also want to check out the 2007 Santa Fe and the soon-to-be-available Hyundai Veracruz.

I seriously considered a new 4dr jeep but after further review Ill stick with my Z71.  Gas is a bear but you cant beat the power or comfort....Of course we only use the Z71 for hunting and towing the camper.  If I had to use it as a daily driver I may reconsider.

I have a colonial cp that I tow with my vue.  My vue is great - handles well, plenty of power for the colonial, and good gas mileage to boot.  Get one with the Honda engine - it is the same engine as in the Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline, and Accura MDX.  Only difference is the computer chip.

You may want to visit SaturnFans.com and see what others say - for quite a while I had more miles towing a popup than anyone else there.

Hope this helps.

At the Barnes and Noble and Borders book stores, Consumer Reports has a special issue out there that compares all SUV's and Crossovers in the marketplace.  I read the whole thing through and found it very informative; especially the repair profiles.

Bottom Line, it is hard to find a good TV with great gas mileage and excellent tow capacity.  I need 6 passenger seating as well due to having 4 kids.  It seems I will be sticking with my Honda Odyssey as my Tow Vehicle for now....
