Well, I've been out of the forums for awhile due to illnesses, flight school, and the ever present snow here in Denver.  After seven months of probing, prodding, and testing, the doctors concluded that I have adult onset asthma.  At least we now know what it is and it is curable.  Even though I'm out of breath alot, I seem to be getting stronger.  I'm on two inhalers that help me breath.  Fortunately, it hasn't affected my flying all that much.  I'm still up in the air, so to speak, and I passed that written exam (the toughest that the FAA has to offer) with a 95%.  All I have to do is pass my actual flight test...

We are bracing ourselves for the seventh weekend in a row of snow....again!  Good news is that it won't be really heavy and most of it is melting pretty rapidly due to our heat wave (high of 66 today!).  There is still about a foot of the white stuff ontop of the PUP, but it seems to be defrosting pretty well (no visual rust spots!).  I did get the special license plate "CAMPDRT", just waiting to thaw out a bit to put them on.  Can't wait to open up the PUP for spring camping.

I did get a break from winter by going to the Denver RV show.  It wasn't as great as years past, but I'm pleased to report that about one fourth of the convention floor (which is VERY big) was covered with PUP's.  The one I fell in love with was a high-walled Fleetwood (or was it Jayco?) with a very large toy hauler under one of the bed ends.  Had a dinnette slide-out, too.  For a hard-side travel trailer I'd definitely go with the Star Stream, kinda a cross between an Airstream and a large Scamper.  Small but efficient, and cute to boot!!  Lots of 5th wheels that I liked much better than the big motorhomes.  Question: why is it that big ticket RV motorhomes don't have bathtubs when moderately priced 5th's do?  Just a thought....

Last (but certainly not least), I received my first PU Times.  Wasn't expecting much, but what a really cool mag!  I'm keeping this issue since it has a lot of info on high-walls, something I wish I had bought to begin with (even though I still LOVE my little Westlake).  GREAT JOB on that mag.  I'll definitely try to submit an article or two on Colorado camping, since so many love to come to this state for vacation.

Well, that's all for now.

Used 2B PopUPTimes

Thanks for the kind words!
