Holy cow! We won an auction on ebay for a popup! Have that nervous tingley feeling of excitement and some fear....

2004 Fleetwood Highlander Sequoia. I think we got a decent deal at $7550. It has ac, micro, etc and looks to be in pretty good shape. I did a visual inspection on Monday am and saw two problems: bent pole over one bed and bent left front stabilizer. Hope I got those terms right. Anyway, both of those look to still be functional and replaceable.

No signs of water damage, mold, fires, crashes, major abuse.

We were outbid 10 days ago on the same item but the buyer never moved forward on it, so I guess this is good fortune for us!!

After over a year of trying to find a good popup, I guess our patience has paid off.

Now the real work begins - reading a ton of info and asking a ton of questions. Get ready y'all. Appreciate the help and support from everyone.

Here's a start relative to questions: Anyone know where I can find/order a manual? It doesn't have one and I'll need it. I found a 2005 one online and downloaded it. It may differ a bit...not sure. Should I replace the bent bar and stabilizer? I don't think they are that bad.

I'll look on this site for a list of "things to look over" to make sure they all work well before we do ANY trip. Anyone in the Arizona area want to go camping in late Feb/early March? I can't wait!!!!

Thanks! (Notice new signature below!!! WAHOO (did I say that already?))

sounds like you got a great deal. the stabilizer is a bolt on, so that's easy enough to replace and you can use elec. conduct to fix your bent pole. But if it was me I would buy a new replacement from the dealer to give it that new look inside. and the 05 manual is close enough for the info you will need.

Now go camping.... :)

Great!

What are you towing with? I'd recommend at least a 1/2 ton truck to tow this baby with. Big camper!

Congratulations!  I am glad you got the popup.  Hope you enjoy it.  So when do you pick it up?  Have a grand time camping in it.:D

Thanks Recumbentman! Appreciate the advice. Glad the 05 manual will work.

Thanks Larry! 2004 Ford F150 pickup we got last fall - in preparation from getting a "big-un!" Crew cab for wife and kids (and dogs). It should pull ok...!

Tracy - we pick it up on Saturday - which seems like a month away. We haven't told the kids yet - and they didn't go with me to look at it Monday am, so this will be a BIG surprise. I'll have to put them to work or they'll pester me to no end til we go camping! (I'd do the same)

Just modified my signature line to reflect the fun!
