Light over the sink?

DH and I were talking last summer about putting a light over the sink in the PUP.  Does Fleetwood make a light for over the sink?  Or, does anyone have a mod that would work?  It would be really nice to have some additional light there.

Thanks for the help!

I'm doing O.K. for overhead lighting in the PUP, but have a walk-in closet that was on the dark side back in aways and was contemplating extending electrical wiring and installing another light.  However, ran across one of those battery operated "stick 'em up" lights and it has worked just fine. Cost was very minimal.  Was wondering if something like that might work for your situation.  As best I can remember bought the thing at Wal-Mart(?), and it was under ten bucks for sure.

Camping World has a number of 12 volt dome/ceiling lights:

Camping World 12V Dome Lights

We use one of the bunk end clip-on lights.  The 2000 Bayside has the bump-out sink/stove so there is a short "bunk end" pole over the sink to attach it to.  It's single 12V bulb is more than enough.

If that is not an option with your Mesa, there are a number of 12V lights that can be secured to the ceiling and wired into the Mesa's 12V system.  If I were doing that, I'd connect to one of the existing 12 lights, and use a surface-mount system to make sure the wires were not exposed and did not become a problem when settign up/taking down.

Remember that the more lights you have on, the shorter your battery life when dry camping.

a agree with flyfisherman --- they have a 3 pack of lights that are battery operated and push on at target and wally world for under $10 supposed to last i believe 100 or 110 hours on battery power....they are one of those as seen on tv items. i've been thinking about getting some for in some of our cabinets as they go back and it's a little dark on the floor.  they would certainly be a easy update and would require little to install.

I have been planning this same mod. I bought a 12v florescent light from J.C. Whitney and I am using a coiled cord. I attached the cord to the light fixture and the other end I attached one of those banana plugs that plug into the existing overhead lights on the PU. I am using Velcro to attach the light over the sink and I also put some Velcro over the dinning table, so I can move the light to either position and since its a florescent light, it will not take as much power than the overhead lights.
good luck on your mod

I did what AB said with a light over our table, two years ago, and will put another one in this year at the other end of the unit.  I agree with AB about the battery power, that is why I use LED bulbs, and have no problems with power.
