The common size AC for a PU is the standard RV AC unit (13,500). I highly recommend the Carrier Air V with the heat option. The heating unit can not be added on after you install the AC, unless you purchase a new inside unit. Reasons to buy the Carrier over other AC units. There is a slinger wheel that throws the condensation on the compressor so that the amount of run off from the AC unit is reduced. The vents will oscillate up and down so one spot isn't getting blasted all the time. There is also an "air shower feature", where you can have the air blow straight down on you.:)

Hey...

Check out the Cosby Campground if you want to stay in the park (dry camping) and don't want many crowds.  The first-come-first-served site is almost never full, even on busy weekends.   Cosby Creek is small water but the fish are fun, there is great hiking (the Mt. Cammerrer Fire Tower (low gap trail) is a brutal climb but worth the views) There are many easier trails as well.  Ramsey Cascades is right down the road at Greenbriar... this is an easy trail and there is a really neat waterfall at the end.  Plus Greenbriar creek has native brook trout which are the most beautiful fish in the world.

Just my 2c.
