Well I show up often at night while camping! and backing into my spot can be difficult. I have extra back up lights on my pull vechicle. but I was thinkinh that I could add some to the rear of the camper..  and sides of the camper for visability at night.....  the rears would be controled from the truck!  I have my ideas on how to wire it all, but I am curious if anyone else has already done this?

When I arrive at a campground after dark, I am always concerned about disturbing the neighboring campers quiet time around the campfire or their sleep, so I turn off the headlights and try to position as quietly and quickly as possible, with my spouse assisting with a LED flashlight and frs radio if needed.  However, if boondocking or in a sparsely populated campsite, I can see that the back-up lights might be helpful. Several backup lights for trailers and wiring are available at //www.northerntool.com.

My '87 Starcraft Nova has backups built into its existing tail lights.  I have them wired to the center pin on 7 pin Bargman on my Suburban.  That center pin is fed from the 'burb's own back up light circuit.  So when I shift into reverse, the backups on the PU come on at the same time.  I like this feature a lot and they're not blinding to other campsites.

That is sweet!!!  I just want more power than basic lights however!! I also want to be able to use them at anytime!   But I didn't know campers out there had that feature..that is great!

Don't see why you couldn't wire up a pair of clear "driving lights" to the rear bumper with a switch in or below your dash and run power through the center (auxilary) pin on your Bargman connector.

I would recommend a relay and fuse so they aren't drawing current through the switch!  Let the relay do the work.  A little 4 prong Bosch unit would be ideal.
