Good Morning ..................

This is our first post on this site.  I have been gathering info on a PU and we finnaly got one :-()   A 1999 Camplite SL 2218 w/ Dining slide out.  Sure beats the "back of the pick up bed".

I fly Radio Control Combat, RCCOMBAT.COM,  so we try to get to as many events that we can.  This PU will allow us to camp "in style" :D  and we can take our 2 Furbabies; Justin and Mindi,  They are 280#'s total of Great Danes.  So now they have a place to sleep and go with us.

Anyway, back to the subject .................. but, Niagara in May?

I have a Combat event in Detroit on the 19 & 20 of May.  We were thinking of going up to the Falls after that but are wondering about the weather.  It will not bother me but the Wife .......... Brrrrrr if it's under 75.  We are going to get the Gizmo's that everyone speaks well of, the BAL leveler, and will take a portable propane heater as a secondary heat.  Our PU has a new Deep Cell Battery, converter, AC w/ Heat Strips, furnace, and 3 way Fridge  We are planning on staying at the Riverside CG and using the K-9 Kennel for our day trips without the monsters.

We have not used our PU yet, but will take a dry run here in the driveway before we go.

So ..... any more thoughts about The Fall's in May?

Thanks

May is always iffy weather wise. Could be nice, could be cool, could be hot!! No way to know until the time comes.

The park will not be busy in May except for the long weekend in May which falls on May 29 through to the 31st this year. Our kids do not finish school till June 20 something.

Riverside has a very strict pet policy so I would review the rules (they ARE enforced). You may have to kennel or find someone to watch your furry friends for you if you are out and not able to take them with you. The owners are pretty good about helping you out with pet care arrangements.

We are going to bring our 2 Great Danes with us in May.  We have the required paperwork and health statements from the Vet.  I was told of a "Doggy Daycare" in the area, but I lost the info on it.  I belive it is the "K-9 College"??  Anyway, we need to board the Beasts for a day while we sight see.  Does any one know of the daycare for dogs there?

Thanks,
Dave
