Hello all!
Does anyone know where I could purchase windows for my pop up?
My canvas is in good shape but the Vinyl and screens are getting shotty.  I have access to an industrial sewing machine so I can do it myself.  When I call
canvas replacement places they all want me to send my canvas to them so they can put in the new windows, and they don't want to tell me who supplies them with their windows.  I tried calling the manufacturer (Starcraft) but they just try to sell me a whole new canvas!  Thanks,  Frank

Go to the menu on the left and scroll down to "Window Materials".

I have done this project many times and I'll give you a tip.....Sew the new window on before cutting the old window out. Otherwise, it will be impossible to keep the shape of the canvas. After sewing the new window on, just make a slit anywhere in the old window and carefully cut around the edges. After that, trim off the excess material from the new window (Don't try to cut to size before sewing). Quick, simple and you'll have a perfectly shaped window without any odd tucks & sags in the canvas.

One other thing.....get some of their clear, double sided seam tape and tape the new glass in place, on a flat surface before you start to sew. You just sew right through the tape. When you're finished, the clear tape doesn't show.

OOOPS!! just one more thing :p . If you don't already have one, try to get a roller foot for your sewing machine. It makes the window go through easier. Also, dipping your thread in silicone will help the needle go through the material easier.

Good luck with the project and let us know how it goes. :D

Thats what these forums are all about.  I'd never think to do it that way, thanks for sharing.  And I don't even need to do this, just appreciate you helping by sharing your experience![/COLOR]

Thanks so much!  You have saved me a ton of money and the tips were great.  I almost cut the old windows out first and would have had a mess on my hands!
Can't wait to get this project started.  I just love this Forum!!!!!
