Didn't this group have their North/South rally a few years ago at the 49'r Village near Jackson, (Northern area) CA?  When we 1st joined the group we went to the 49'r Village and seem to remember DH telling me that this is where you had your Rally.  Eventhough, there were alot of full-timers, there was more than plenty of room for us regular folk.  If you did have your rally there, why haven't you returned?

Yes, we did have a rally here in 2003 (I think).  It was a nice place.  Not real central for the Southern folks.  We have talked about going back here but just haven't done it.  Unfortunately, the NNCers shave vanished and they were the ones that organized this rally.

It was a nice facility and close to a lot of California history.Moose

We enjoyed this campground and drove to Sacramento and went to the zoo and Fairy Taleland.   Very nice area,  I hope we can go here again.

If you guys want a rally there next year, maybe I can wagonmaster it.  I enjoyed our stay very much.

We will go Kim but it is a really long way for the So Cal folks (400 miles easily).  I don't know how many takers you will have.  You might get more takers from the Nor Cal group on PUX.

There is definately a lot to see in this area.  You could spend a whole week here and still not see everything.  You can do day trips to San Francisco, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Napa and of course there is a ton of history in the "gold country".

My grandma and Aunt lived in Jackson (not far from  49'r Village) and loved it there.  I've been bugging dh to move me to Ventura County.  The problem is that it is more pricey there and in order for us to get a decent house for decent money, he would have to commute.  Not worth it.

Maybe, we'll have to go again on our own.

Do you want to move to Jackson or Ventura county?  My parents live in Ventura County and are in the process of selling their home to move up here.  Now is the time to move up to Northern California.  Homes are a steal up here at the moment.
