Door lock woes

I guess someone tried to break into the pup and jammed a screwdriver in the keyhole and wrecked it. They didn't get in, but now my key is useless. I suppose i'll have to drill it out and replace the tumbler.....any tips?? :confused:

im just guessing that any of the manufacturers will sell you a whole lock assembly rather than a lock tumbler so the easiest thing to do would probably be like you said.  Drill out the lock so you can get it open, remove the damaged lock and replace it with the new one.  sorry for the break in.  at least they didn't steal the pop up.

It ticks me off when someone thinks they can help themselves to someone else's stuff.  This was a complete amature, my guess being a kid in the neighborhood.  Anybody familiar with pop-ups would know you can get in easy enough (and often, faster) without unlocking anything.

And I'd be inclined to agree with tknick; just drill it out in order to get in, then replace the whole lock assembly.

Screw a slidehammer into the lock, should pop the tumbler out.
