Just wondering if someone could give me some good advice on purchasing a potty for our camper! We (she) just wants it for those middle of the night runs. I just want a small easy to take care of model...Thanks ...Tom

Thetford models seem to be pretty popular.  I have one that came with the camper.  We have it for the same reason.  The model we have separates into two pieces so you can dump the waste.  It seals up fairly well so smell has never been a problem. HERE is a link to one a campingworld.  wal-mart carries some and they are all fairly similar.  Just follow the directions with rinsing and deodorizers and you wont have any problems.

How picky is "she." My wife and I have camped out of a canoe for years with no "facilities" so when we got our pop up, we decided to keep in really simple. Since most night time emergencies are to urinate, we bought a toilet seat that snaps to a 5 gal. bucket. Put a quart of water in it along with a teaspoon of chemical, close the lid and you're good-to-go. Dumping and rinse out is a breeze. Nothing to maintain - nothing to break. (and cheap!)

We got one with our camper from Wards. Probally 20 yrs old. Bucket inside lifts out to dump. We got a new one from a freind cleaning out his garage, still in plastic wrap. It has a holding tank that detatchs to dump. Its a little smaller, and the old one still works, so we havent used the new one yet.
