Thanks in advance!

You might try Watson Mill Bridge State Park which is just outside Athens.  It's a beautiful park!

We camped at Watsons Mill over Easter weekend, it is an excellent park. There is also Fort Yargo to the west of Athens, it depends on where you are coming from. There are Ga. SP all around Athens, which direction will you coming from?

Watson Mill Bridge is one of our favorite campgrounds.  It's small and off the top of my head, it's about 20 miles from downtown Athens.  By the way, Athens is pretty dog friendly.  There is an excellent doggie daycare there called Pawtropolis, formerly called Petropolis.

Thanks for the info. We will be driving from NC. Flyball starts early each morning, so we need something as close to Athens as possible. I love GA parks, they are all so nice and well kept!
