Hi,

Just bought a 2001 Coleman Utah and damaged the front storage trunk during some sway towing it home.

Any idea where I can get a new one?  it is beyond repair.  Called the shop I got it from and they said Fleetwood would have to make one custom for me.

Help!!!

Sorry to tell you, but Fleetwood would be the only place to get a new one.  You may be able to find one in a junkyard.  There is a company out of Canada that is basically a junk yard for campers, but I cannot remember what their web address is.  I'm sure someone else will know it and post it for you.

How bad could it be

Can you post a picture? Some here may have suggestions. :sombraro:

The trunk is integral to the body. To replace it would mean tearing it off, cutting the flooring off, buying a new front trailer panel and the new seperate trunk used since Fleetwood realized they had a lousy design.
The panel, new trunk and shipping IIRC goes about $900. Labor at a dealership would run between $90 and $115 an hour with most likely a 5-6 hour charge.

Ouch!!

May be time to call the insurance company. If you have comprehensive and the trailer was hooked up to the TV, it should be covered.

For that price. Maybe it's time to tear it off, cover the hole with aluminum diamond plate and get a pickup truck storage box and mount it on the tongue. Just my $0.02 worth.
