We decided to take a  quickie campout this weekend to Valencia Travel Village. It's off the 126 just West of I-5, real close to Magic Mountain. We just need to get out of the Antelope Valley wind for a couple of days. If you are passing by or want to camp for a weekend we are in row B.

Man I have been wanting to go try out that CG, but we are going up north to San Luis Obispo for a bike ride this coming weekend. Let us know how you like this place.

We are trying to get a manufactered house into camp. I discussed a 5th wheel with my financial adviser and she said don't do it. Let them provide your house. A 5th wheel is down the road tho.

Kara has a book report due and we're still fighting with finishing the book and I have about 3 weeks to crank out a 60 page yearbook.

hey but check that place out good. (I stayed for one night just to get past LA traffic)  I remember the pool and staff being nice but it seemed real residential. I know they have the "circle" in the back check that out too.

Have a good one.  You'll be pretty close to us but we'll be doing a 5k walk around the Rose Bowl this weekend in support of autism research.

Last weekend we checked out Ventura RV Park with the Darksiders.  It's a pretty nice RV campground as long as the sound of the ocean waves, umm...I mean freeway noise, doesn't bother you.

The CG is nice, tall trees, Two pools, jaccuzi, Arcade, market, etc. All the sites in our area were pull thru.  We rode the bikes all over the CG to get an idea of what it was like.  Everybody we ran accross was really nice.  That being said, there are alot of "Residents" there. But again, I had no problems with any of the people, and at night it was totally quiet, almost a weird quiet.  On a Saturday night you'd think sombody would be kicking up their heels.  The Circle area would make a great place for a small get-together.  There is a Huge grill and a firepit with huge trees shading everything.  I met a kid that "Lives" there.  His mom is a traveling nurse with some airline.  They have a big new triple slide 5th wheel they live in.  So I wouldn't say all the residents are in old delapidated trailers, there are some of those though.  My problem is they mix it up.  They have a CG with 400+ sites, why not put the residents in one area?  It did reach 96 degrees so for most of you it would be a Spring or Fall trip. Plus it is just a quick 40 mile trip down the 126 to Ventura.  We went to Ventura Harbor to see my Boss's boat he has slipped there.  We left Valencia and it was 96, got to Ventura and it was 62!
