Hello:
I have a 2005 Palomino Mustang and the cable is in really bad shape. The dealership does not replace them and the place they recommended is several hours away. I know the cable system can be replaced however I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with this or has any recommendations on where to find the parts etc.
Thanks

you can get cable from a hardware or farm supply store - possibly a home improvement store, and make your own.  Just use your old cable as a guide to length.  it's not difficult - the hardest part is getting under the camper or if some cables are inside the walls.  Depends on how your cable is strung.  you might need a pulley or two - those are harder to come by in standard harware stores, but sometimes you get lucky, or you can order them from the manufacturer of your camper.

check out http://www.rvworkshop.com/pop_up_camper_parts.html and see if they have instructions for a lift system similar to yours.

many of us have replaced some or all of the cables in lift sytem - If I can do it, anyone can!
