I'm from Sacramento California.  Centrally located.  Couple hours to the beach and about the same to Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevadas.  We also have the Coastal Range with awesome campgrounds like Big Basin State Park.

Hi,
I'm new to this site; just thought that I would introduce myself to the members.

My husband and I live in Yukon, OK (yeah, I know that those Texans are going to give me some grief).  We have a 2003 Honda 1800 Goldwing and we tow a 2004 Windward popup camper.  We have pulled a motorcycle camper through almost all 50 states and Canada.  Motorcycling is our life and taking the camper along seems just to be a natural thing to do; I have the packing of our camper for a trip down to a fine art...all neat and organized.

Our Windward camper has a king size bed and a huge dressing area.  We use a king size air mattress (it also zips apart to make 2 twin mattress's), there are self inflatable pumps in the mattress's that inflate by simply pulling them out of their resting place; there are "comfort" plugs that allow you to have an individual comfort (firmness) setting for each side.  On cooler nights we put an electric heated mattress pad on the air mattress and on even colder nights we use an electric blanket and a small heater.  We can carry a small air conditioner in the summer, but usually we just take our fans to save space.

I'm looking forward to reading about some or your adventures with your popup campers.

Woodstock -  Illinois, that is - not upstate New York!

If you ever saw the movie 'Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and Angie McDowell - that was filmed here in Woodstock (though the setting was supposed to be Punxatawny PA - our Midwest town was much prettier than the real Punxatawny)

We're NW of Chicago, East of Rockford and the WI border is only 15 MI north.

Born and raised outside of Milwaukee, WI -  once a cheesehead, always a cheesehead! Grew up canoe and tent camping with my folks and Girl Scouts - then my only child turned out to be a boy - so I had to switch to Boy Scouting!  That's OK - Girl Scouting has changed too much - they 'camp' in malls nowadays.... how boring!
