Please excuse the "tone" of the subject line,no offense is meant by it.Perhaps a little history would help.As a son of a WWII vet, much of my perspective is not so much a post modern view, but more Victorian,a generation removed.
One of the earliest lessons learned was the tried and true, three subjects in public rule.(sex,politics,religion).
This is sure to be flamed, but, your worth as a person is not tied to your opinion on these subjects. And since politics is rampant with sex and science is a new religion:
Is there any subject civil enough for public discourse, without demeaning your retractors?
    Just curious

Never seen anything that couldn't be talked about.  I don't live my life according to what an icon and a screen name on my computer thinks anyway.  Most people who go about like Don Quixote thinking they are a Knight on a quest, are doing just that..fighting a windmill and thinking they're slaying a dragon.

:U How about camping in all forms , off roading , homesteading ( my wish ) , and atv's of all kind.
