I was thinking, do we have any easy way to make a list of where any of us are planning on camping this summer that we wouldn t mind company so that if a few more want to join, we could have a small group?

For instance, I am planning on Seven Points at Raystown Lake for May 9, 10.  I know several of you are going to NY.

For Memorial Day, I will be at Black Moshanon State Park.  I know Zooey has said she will be there as well.

For 4th of July, I am thinking about Greenwood Furnace SP, although we don t have reservations yet.

I would welcome company on any of these trips.

 shirleybShirley,
This is the place. You could do 2 things. Rename this thread 2003 trips or give each of your trips a separate thread. Then sit back and see if anyone else is interested in joining you. Often times it s simply a matter of timing. You could suggest a great trip, but others already made plans, etc. But beware - sometimes these little trip suggestions turn into big gatherings, like the North-South Lake trip. Rick, you didn t want a quiet getaway did you[;)].

shirleybShirley posting here at PUT is where most people will see the information.  I did add a page to the COTOC web site and listed the trips you are planning.  When you make plans for July 4th let me know and I will add it to the list.

Any other suggestions on how to make the web site better let me know.

shirleybI was just trying to think of a semi-organized way to do it, but didn t really come up with anything.  Just wondered if anyone else did, other than just threads for each trip.

 shirleybShirley,
Maybe a list of trips in date order (or do we already have one)? I guess it could be confusing trying to make sense of all the different theads. Maybe we could request Tracy to keep this list on her website? Noticed that Kathy asked the northeastern group to mention which state the specific cg is in because sometimes it s hard to tell. I think she had a good idea.

shirleybWe camped in NY almost exclusively when we started camping, so now that we are getting around better, we like to hear about new campgrounds. I m sure that experienced campers know that certain campgrounds are in certain states. Those of us that are still learning tend to feel " in the dark" , so I find it very helpful when folks note the state when talking about specific campgrounds.

I felt very much like a newbie for a long time when people were talking about " The Pinery" . To tell the truth, I still have no idea where it is! [:D]
