Quote from: HackkerFrom reading the warranty info, the floor & bed platform wood has a 25 year limited warranty.  So, I'd think that it would hold up pretty well.

I've also read that sealing it can cause problems with moisture buildup, so being left uncoated might actually make it last longer.

Hackker is 100% right on the floor and bed platforms, they are left un coated so that moister will not become traped, and they will dry out with out the chance of rotting.
Also notice that  the bed platform is one solid piece of Structurwood with
a full alluminum frame and steel suports.
They are pretty beefy and yet slide like Butta.. :)

jbb, are you sure the undersides of the Starcraft and Jayco's were sealed?  My Starcraft just has a couple of coats of flat black paint.

As for the bunkends, the Starcraft DOES have a full fiberglass/Gel-coat finish under them (as well as on top, where the mattress goes).  Warranty, IIRC, is also 25 years.
