taking the 4Yo DD on her first geocaching "treasure hunts." She absolutely loves it! We've done a few around home here and one in Buck Creek State Park near here, though we weren't camping then. Can't wait to see the excitement in her eyes when we go and do two of her (and now mine) favorite things..........Camping and Treasure Hunting (Geocaching).

So far we have only searched for regular caches because I don't think she'll get the concept yet of the mirco where there's no booty to exchange. Because of her age we do not seek those that require a lot of bushwhacking either. We have taught her the concept of picking up trash we find along the way. "Cache in Trash Out"

Anyway looking forward to combining camping and caching - geocaching that is! Does anyone else do this -geosearching and camping together- on a regular basis? If so what's some of the best geofinds you've had while camping?
