I'm looking to purchase a 2007 Jayco J/Trax. I need something inexpensive, small, and lightweight. I like the warranty and other benefits of buying new, but don't want to spend a ton "up front".

My question is, is it reasonable to buy a unit (like the J/Trax) that doesn't have any accessories (like a fridge/stove/sink) and add them over time? I like the "keep it simple" approach.

The unit would see only occasional use (I like to go to the annual Oshkosh airshow and don't like tent camping).

Have you checked out used dealers?  or rvtrader.com?
You may be able to get all you want in a used model in your price range.

Looking at the J/Trax on Jayco's website, the only options are fridge and furnace.  Does not appear to be any room for sink, or anything else.  You can add stove/sink to the outside of the trailer, using camp kitchens.

We ended up buying new, and big.

Good luck in your search.
