Has anybody pulled a pup using this entrance? It states...In Sequoia Park, the 16-mile stretch of road from Ash Mountain to Giant Forest contains 130 curves and 12 switchbacks. For this reason, there is a vehicle-length advisory for the twelve steepest miles within that stretch. From Potwisha Campground to the Giant Forest Museum, the advised maximum vehicle length is 22 feet (6.7 m). My TV and PUP are 38.5ft long. I have taken the northern entrance, but I would love to take in the views of the southern entrance

Coming from the South and going to Giant Forest/ Lodgepole I prefer the southern entrance.  It is rather curvy and steep in spots.  The length isn't a problem- sharp corners would be a problem for a long motorhome but not a TV and fairly short trailer.

I'm thinking of going late August.  Plenty of room in Dorst but Lodgepole is full the 23-25.

i towed a 16ft pop up behind a dodge ram quadcab a few years ago...lots of switchbacks, but saves time. some parts you must drive really slow and make sure noone is coming or make sure who has the right away (person driving down the mountain), but SNP was our best camping trip ever and the reason we bought a pop up. ( we rented this one for a tryout )

fun campin

We just got back a week ago from Lodgepole and we pulled the pop up and went in the upper entrance, they are doing work on the road at the bottom enterance so it was just easier to go thru on the top. You can be stopped 20 min or more with a pilot car taking people thru and it is really curvy, we preferred the upper enterance and really did not spend much extra time going that way

We did the southern entrance. It was curvy, but no problem for the pup and TV. We hit the roadwork but go lucky and timed it perfect, so we did not have to wait.
