I couldn't agree more!  I'm very lucky to have lived up there when I did.  We moved there from Michigan during Dec. '64...drove over the AlCan Hwy in a Jeep p/u towing a 30' trailer!  My dad really showed us the outdoors and I'll never forget all the adventures we had camping and fishing.

I think those Halibut rigs just have a huge winch and are fishing with steel cable in umpteen hundred feet of water.  When they get the big ones, they just press a button and haul them off the bottom like they were salvaging a sunken ship.  When they surface, they just put a shotgun slug through their heads.  Done deal......and very sporting.......not.
