I just got a new tongue jack at Harbor Freight Tools.  They sale them cheap.  Only 23.69 after tax.  I got the one rated for 1000 lbs.  The one I had before was rated 800 lbs.  I'm sure this is excessive but it cost the same as the smaller ones.

Quote from: brainpauseSorry, ol buddy ol pal. This one doesn't drive the wheel of the tongue jack, but it accomplishes what you are talking about:

Pretty cool concept!

Man, that guy smashed his thumb real good, probably while "engaging the drive", pinched between that lever and the asphalt! :p

Now I have to figure out how to get Ms. Tug, (or does she prefer to simply be called Tesco), to live with us so that she can move around my PopUp!

FYI, our swivel tongue jack had its screw stripped as well.

Just went to the local dealer and they wanted $135 for a replacement jack.  Drove by Camping world and picked up this one for ~$50

it'll have to be clamped onto the other side of the tongue, and the welded portion of the old jack will be there, but ill live with that for the cheaper price.  Also the new one is a side crank which i think will be easier to raise/lower (can put body wight into it).

I think they have them cheaper online at harborfreight, but i just wanted  to get it fixed this weekend.

I picked up my replacement jack yesterday. It is a BAL and is the exact replacement. All I did was take off the handle of the old one and slid the bottom half out. I took off the handle of the new one, slid out the bottom section and slid it into the old top, replaced the new handle and it was done. It took me all of about ten minutes. Works great and easier than the last because who knows how long the old one was going bad. Thanks for the help!

Lifeangel1, if you don't mind, what did you pay for the jack?  I want to know if our dealer is asking an outrageous amount.
Thanks
