Does anyone use their pop up for tailgating? I have never used mine at a pro or college game, but when my boys played Pee Wee ball, we used to bring our pop up to the games on Saturday. It was a great way to enjoy our pop up in a different environment.

Back in the eighties my 81 Coleman, was well used  for rest and refreshments at auto races which included Daytona and Sebring. Also used one for a watering hole at a Shriners convention.

Ours pops up real quick so we use it at the beach and a few times at the park.  This is one big reason I would love to have the kitchen accessible from the outside like a teardrop trailer.

What kind of pop up do you have? On our Coleman Santa Fe we can disconnect our stove on the inside and move it to the outside and attach it to the side of the pop up.

Cajun,

Not really tailgating but close to it.  We took our Jayco to the August Michigan Nextel race.  Rained for 2-1/2 days pretty much constantly.  We still managed to have a god time.  The only bummer was tearing down in the rain.

We were just at the Steelers/Bills game in Pittsburgh yesterday.  We tailgated before the game.  Tailgating is a requirement, a game isn't a game unless you tailgate.  We did it from the back of our TV without the camper (actually, it wasn't a camping trip at all).  Parking cost for the TV was $30.  If we had the camper, it would have been $140.  $110 is a bit much to pay for a cookout.  We've tailgated Pittsburgh Pirates games on camping trips but left the camper in the campground and tailgated from the car.  Tailgating with the camper is needlessly expensive, IMHO.

Before you take your PUP, check out the RV parking fee structure for the event.

Tailgating at Tiger Stadium for LSU home games has been a tradition since I was a kid. I remember when we started my mom would basically pack a pic-nic basket, my dad would add a few beers and soft drinks to an ice chest ,  load a few folding chairs  and away we would go. We would arrive only a couple of hours before the game find a parking spot, pop the trunk and the tailgate party would begin.

Today people start arriving on Friday morning for a Saturday night game. The area where they allow motorhomes, 5ers, TT and pop ups has a 5 year waiting list to get in. It also cost $1500 for the season.

That's the main reason I don't pop-up for LSU home games.
