Sunset Beach State Park near Monterey CA

Went to this park last weekend.

The Good:  Best spot is #25 (ocean view).  Late summer/early fall is excellent weather and camground is empty (if you like that).  We saw dolphins and seals from the beach.  The beach is nice and sunsets are cool of course and provide excellent lighting for picture taking.  Stop at a roadside fruit stand and get some fresh fruit.

The Bad:  "Pull through sites" like #88 are just wide spots in the road.  Stay away from these.  Bathrooms and showers are dirty and dark.  There were some "full timers/homeless" living at cg and making a mess of the place.

Sounds like a CHeary place.  Where is it exactly?

It's West of Watsonville and about 1/2 way between Santa Cruz and Monterey.

I may have exaggerated a little about the messy bathrooms.
