Just learned to post pixs here on the board ... using PhotoBucket.

Was experimententing on another thread and sort of hijacking it, "Pictures", (sorry AZsix), but was surprised that it ended up being so simple! So I thought it best to do my own thread for the Alaska trip.

So here are some pixs from the Alaska trip, I'll just post a few, especially at one time ~

Here's a shot of the surrounding scenery while out fishing on what's called Stephens Passage just north of Juneau.
Another of yours truely with a silver salmon (also called Coho).
One of a river loaded with pink salmon migrating upriver to spawn.
Then a pix on my friend's sailboat (of yours truely again!), in the Gastineau Channel with Juneau and tour ships in the background.

I think the fish won the beauty contest. :)

Great pics and it looked like a great adventure.

Boy it looks like you had perfect weather for the trip. I have a friend that just returned a couple of weeks ago from an Alaskan cruise, they absolutely loved it. I also have another friend that is on a two year project in Alaska, he fishes every chance he gets and said the fishing is great.

Thanks for sharing your pics, one day I'll learn how to post pictures.

Moving the orginal photos from AXsix's thread (where I learned how to post them!) over here to sort of keep everything together!

One is a pix of the Herbert Glacier where we were fishing one day, I want to say in it's shadow but really was within sight of it. Just a magnificent sight and that's where I tangled up with the silver salmon I'm holding. What a knock-down, drag-out it was getting that fish aboard!  Oh, those silvers eat just right

Fishing must have been good. I just noticed (in the 2nd pic) that you had a fish on the line and just ignored it for the camera. :J

Wayne ~ thanks for making me look ... I posted the same pix twice!

Here's the one I intended to post, along with mu host and friend Marshal at his place on Douglas Island just across from Juneau.  There's also one of another silver just lying in the bottom of the boat after I banged 'em on the head ... we were started having so much action all at once you did'nt have time to "put the fish away". Then there's a pix of a river that I was wading and fishing for dolly vardens when all of a sudden an eagle just swooped down and plucked a fish right out of the water maybe fifty feet in front of me! What a sight, what an experience!

As I'm learning more and more about this photo posting, on these pixs all you have to do is click on them and they'll get bigger!

Fly: With Photobucket, I didn't know there was a way to post pictures small, but view them large. What link do you use to do that?

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with us.

When you click the box for the photo to send there will be the option to e-mail or post to a fourm and here there will be the choice of one of two ... full size or small with the option of being able to be enlarged after it's posted.

Fly: Thanks for the info. I didn't know it.
