Taylor

Hi folks,I found this site while looking around for parts. My name is Taylor and I live in Tennessee.I just bought (yesterday) a 1985 Coleman Redwood. It is actually in decent shape, needs some attention though. It is missing a cabinet, the one that house's the sink and cook stove.( Missing sink and stove too.)Looking for pics to show me what it should look like. No heat or AC,but I do have an older Duotherm propane heater, that a friend gave me.Need to figger out where to put it.It seems to be too big,but only 10,000 BTU. It has two crank "things",the guy I bought it from, said not to use the top one, didn't say why.Looks like a good project this winter.

Welcome Taylor...

I am sure that you will find this board both fun and informative.

It sounds like you are going to have your hands full. Are you going to be building the entire side of cabinets from scratch or is there something there to work with?  I don't have any pictures of the cabinet side of my PUP to send you but if no one else does I will try to get some to you.

As for your propane heater... I am not sure if it is rated for inside tent use.  If indoor use is not expressly forbidden I would certainly invest in a good Carbon Monoxide detector.

A couple of other things...

Where in TN are you and where do you plan on camping?  I live in Knoxville and there are tons of options in east TN and western NC.

I have no idea what you are talking about with the top v. bottom crank - hopefully someone who is more familiar with your particular PUP can help you with that.

Lastly...  your post is certainly appropriate for the "General" section of the board.  Nothing wrong with posting it in "The Campfire", but most people use this as a catch-all for subjects not directly related to camping.  No worries though.

Again, welcome.  Give me a shout if you are ever headed into the GSMNP.

I am in Clarksville, originally from Harlan, just on the other side of the hill from you.I guess I should have called it a furnace,as it did come from an RV. I have one bottom cabinet. My intent was just introduce myself, got carried away I guess,my apoligies(sp?).

Welcome to PUT.  There isn't anything for you to apologize for.  You are welcome to offer answers, opinions and questions.  Good luck with the new camper.:)
