:) If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day.

 :( If you teach a man to fish, he's going to buy a funny hat (except in Minnesota, where he will buy an ice fishing house)

 :confused: If you talk to starving men about fish, then you are a consultant.

 :morning: If you go to meetings about fish, then you're an employe.

 :banghead: If you go to meetings to prepare for fish meetings, then you're a manager.

 :screwy: If you promise a 400 lb. trout to a customer when all you have is some flies in the tackle box, then you're in marketing.

 :compumad: If you're staying late fiddling with protofish and wishing you could kill someone in marketing, you're an engineer.

 :rolleyes: If you're the only one cleaning fish while everyone else is going to meetings, you're a contractor.

 :swear: If you paid for trout but got a carp, you're a customer.

 :-() And if you used to go to meetings, but now you have a fish on the end of the line, you're either retired, or lucky...just shut up and keep fishing!

Already thought of some more:

 :usflag: If you write reams and reams of incomprehensible regulations on bobbers for fly fishing, then you're with the government.

 :book: If you are being paid to deal with someone who got a fish bone in their sandwich, you're a lawyer.

 :! And if you can't give a rip about fish, then it's Friday afternoon.  What's for dinner?

If you give a man a fish he will eat fish all day... Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat or a canoe and drink beer all day.....Except Flyfisherman... he's  a teetotaler.. I think.........How about that Dale??????

flyfisherman

"Behold, the fisherman;
He riseth long before the sun,
distrubth the whole household
with much preparation and
high expectation.

But returnth not until long
after the appointed hour,
with nothing to show for
the entire day;
and smellth of strong drink,
and the truth is not in him."

One of my clients today told me this one about fishing on Sundays...

"I would rather be on the river thinking about God than in Church thinking about fishing".

I get to go to work in God's office everyday, and I appreciate every glorious moment of it.  Being a fishing guide is a tough life, but someone has to do it.
