I guess that I have been fairly fortunate in our camping expeeriences in that we have had only a few cases of being really bothered by our neighbors.

Twice, we have had the experience of having to listen to other people's conversations into the wee hours of the morning.  These were not boisterous conversations but personal ones.  Some of the talk did not need to be shared with neighbors but people tend to forget how voices carry outside or on a lake.

Nah, I taught inner-city youths, they're frightened to death of the dark and nature. You need to see a 200lb. thug wannabe scream like a girl and hop up on a desk at the sight of a field mouse coming oast his chair.
