Has anyone camping in the Arches, Bryce, or Zion area in March/April?  We are looking to do our first camping trip with our new pop-up this spring and thought it would be warm enough in those areas to check things out over Spring Break.  Any tips on great campgrounds to check out would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If you go to the Arches NP website go "Planning Your Trip" and they have a weather chart. I'm sure the other websites have something similar. I am thinking of going to Arches in June after the Grand Canyon. I have been to Zion (though not camping) and it was a great place to visit. I wish I could help with cg's. I'm sure someone will chime in sooner or later.

I messed up with the link. Try this Arches NP That should work better (I hope)

Took my family to Arches last april I believe. It was a rainy weekend and got chilly at nights. The temp during the day was perfect for short sleeves. We had a 9 month old with us and didn't have a problem keeping her warm. kids kept their coats on when the sun wasn't out. We only had a small tent heater at the time and it was enough to keep us warm at night.
The way arches does their campground is super aggravating, if you want details just let me know. Long story short, we camped in a parking lot in the Isuzu rodeo the first night woke up at 5 am to get in line at the visitors center to get a site, we were #5 of 6 openings at 5:30 am.
You will want to check to make sure Moab isn't doing anything that weekend or campgrounds will be few and far between. I can give you some ideas around Moab if Arches is full, they are all first come first serve though. Let me know.

Forgot to mention that Moab has alot of KOA type camping in town and 4 dry camping areas just outside of town.

Here is a like for the calendar of events going on then. If you go during the jeep safari I am sorry...

sorry for so many posts. Bryce and Zion are going to be pretty cold at night in April. In a trailer you probably won't have a problem at all, but I slept under the stars for a couple of nights in June in Zion and I got very cold. It helps to know that I only had a moving blanket to sleep in because I forgot my sleeping bag, duh!

some great info on the areas:
Zion hiking info
Official Zion site
Trip reports and pictures for all three areas
Official Bryce site

Hope that helps
