I've read that the BAL leveler will work with most 13", 14" and 15" tires. The tires on my PUP are 12" - any thoughts on if it will or won't work on my trailer?

Thanks!

I have the opposite problem, but what I do may help you also.

I have the Fleetwood E3 with the big 15" tires. There just a bit too big for the BAL, even though it says it works with 15".

So I have to make a slight adjustment. When backing to my final spot, I back the BAL side tire onto a small 2x6, then the Ball slides under easily, supports the tire and up I go.

I would bet that when you slide the BAL around your smaller tire, you could fill the gap with a 2x6 between the tire and the BAL support, in effect, making the BAL a bit smaller.

Maybe someone is doing something like this already?

Good luck

I had small tires on my Jayco and the BAL worked just fine with them.  You shouldn't have any problems with it.

I have smaller tires on my camper also and the BAL works great with them. I have read on various forums that if it doesn't fit smaller tires the people place a piece of board on the leveler to fill the gap.

Be careful, like towing capacities on Tow Vehicles, the tire sizes for the BAL are there for a reason!
The BAL kicked out on my Jayco with 12" tires twice and I decided it wasn't worth the risk. I now have a Starcraft with bigger wheels but still find wood blocks or Lnyx blocks mush easier and faster.

I gave my BAL to another camper and I think they decided blocks are faster.

My BAL continues to work just fine with the 12's on my Starcraft.

Works fine on my Flagstaff with 12" tires too.

I have the same small tires on my Jayco.  Well, the same size tires ~ I replaced them in 2006  ;)   (size 20.5X8X10)

I haven't had any problems either.  I do park with both wheels on a 12"-square piece of plywood.  Makes it easier to slip the BAL under ... especially on soft ground.

Thanks everyone - your responses are much appreciated!
