Hi all,

DW and I are planning our Memorial Day weekend camping trip and am having a difficult time determining how much snow is still in some of our favorite areas.  Can anyone help?  Fishing reports are showing that lakes and reservoirs above 9000' may still be frozen, and there still may be 2' of snow on the ground.

Our favorite spot is above Taylor Park Reservoir, but it seems that area may not yet be accessible.  Any reports would be appreciated.

Also considering O'Haver lake, or will take suggestions for lower elevation spots within 50 miles of Monarch Pass.

Anybody been up to survey conditions lately?

I can't speak from first hand experience but at 9500 ft just out from Colorado Springs there is still 2' of snow on the ground and since Taylor gets lots of snow and is about 9500 and O'Haver is pretty high as well I am betting there is lots of snow still.
I bet the high country won't open up until late July this year.

Looks like we are going to McDonough Reservoir, between Saguache and Gunnison off 114.  New location for us, so we are eagerly anticipating exploring a new camping venue!
