Starcraft 10RT: Can you open PUP while hitched to TV?

Hi, I'm considering a Starcraft 10RT. I'll be towing it with a '97 Land Cruiser (and a Suburban).

As I look at pics of the PUP, it appears that I may not be able to set it up while still hitched to the TV, as the front bed appears to extend beyond the coupler, thus striking the back of the truck. [No problem with a PUP with a front cargo bed however.] It would be nice not to have to uncouple it we didn't need to (less work for my wife when she goes out with the three little ones for day trips).

Can anyone confirm this with their 10RT (or other similar style PUPs)? [Obviously pick-up owners would not be affected, I assume.]

It is one of the few downsides to PUPs.  You have to unhitch and pull forward enough to clear the Tow Vehicle.

It may be a good idea to uncouple the TV whether you need to or not - if you needed the vehicle ASAP (like to drive someone to the emergency room - hope that never happens, just my instinctive "Mom" paranoia) you certainly don't want to be messing around with unhitching on top of everything else!

It looks like it would be pretty close with the extended front bed and the rear of the TV. Maybe a hitch extender might help? If it does happen to clear to allow setting up the PUP without uncoupling, are there any down sides to a hitch extender?

I have an '07 10RT. The bunk end extends about 30" past the the hitch. So you'll have to uncouple.
