alternate Father's Day Rally - Newport Dunes

Being new to the group, and finding most Rally's filled up in a day or so long before joining SCCampers, we won't make the June 13-14 Rally at Ot Magu. I propose an alternative for others in our situation, a self service Rally at Newport Dunes RV Park June 13-14. They have over 50 spaces available starting at $38/night, plus planned activities including a BBQ. We can pay for a block of sites in advance (sorry, no deep pockets in my household), or we can call in our reservations on the same day(s) so we have the best chance of scoring sites close to each other. I propose all of us who are interested call in starting tomorrow and ask for sites in proximity to other SCCamper members. Reservations: 800-765-7661 option 1. Comments, suggestions?

I'm obsessive..In case you hadn't guessed by now.  We have gone to the cove 4 times in the past 2 years. One time a full cottage and the other times dorm rooms.  It's an awesome place! FUN!

I get online at 7:50 and at 8:00 I push BOOK NOW.  Also. it helps that I don't mind dorm rooms.  Only really cool people go there.....and we've met families, retirees, single people....they are on the cool list!

let me know who is going and has put in their reservation. I need names so I can call and see if they will group us together, otherwise we will be assigned sites as we arrive and check in.

the weather s/b great then. if anyone has kids this is a GREAT place..they have activities all day long. The summer rates here are about $90 /night . you are getting the group rate without the group. If I wasn't already going to point Mugu I would've jumped on this right away.
