Slide-out dinette tilt?

I have a 2008 Starcraft Centennial 3612.

When I pull out my dinette, it seems to tilt downward. You can't tell it from the outside, but when I sit at the table, it seems like it was slanting so I put a level on it, and, sure enough, it is tilted. I know that when it's out it exerts pressure differently and I shouldn't expect it to be perfectly level, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was with the sagging rear bunk??

You had several responses with questions but you went MIA :confused:

Sorry for delay in responding.  I was out camping.

Does the slide-out have support legs?

No support legs.

when you pull out your dinnett it should be level not tilt down like you say, have some one pull it and watch to see if you have somthing loose thats cousing to tilt down. on my popup the dinnett has 4 wheels 2 on each side thats what keeps its level and it can hold up to 1200 lbs.

Level = Good
Tilt = Bad

The way that PopUp slide out's work is similar to the workings of a huge kitchen cabinet or file cabinet drawer on steel tracks with rollers, (only with a lot less engineering effort into the actual design). ;)

Most late model slide outs are designed to work without bottom support legs, but some still had them recently, (Jayco comes to mind).  The bad news is that if it's already tilting, there is probably additional leverage force being applied to the slide mechanism, and it's going to get worse with time, (and additional weight and use).

Things that will be obvious:
- One or more of the bearing wheels have worn out, are missing, or have popped out of the track.
- The stationary slide track has disconnected from the trailer frame, and is tilting, or is bent.
- The slide track on the dinette box has come loose, or is bent.

The fix may be as easy as tightening some bolts.  The worse case involves removing the slides to that you can straighten them, or replacing them with new parts.

Thank you for your feedback.

The glide out dinette on my 06 Niagara does not tilt, but, it was a wee bit difficult to get it to go in.  Redistributed the contents of the under seat storage, and it made a world of difference.

Don't know if redistributing your under seat storage will help or not.  I've not been under the glide out to view the tracks/rollers, but you might want to look under yours and see if the outer end of the track might have come loose.

Best wishes.
