What wavery said. I have that same charger and it seems to work OK so far. The best part (for me anyway) is they're idiot proof!

Nice price too. I think I paid about $65 a year ago at Walmart. :(

Forgive my ignorance, but will that recharge the battery completely?  Do you typically charge it once a day during lengthy trips?  And I know I've asked this before, but I can't recall the answere: We would like to get a second battery as a back-up - what do you guys recommend?

Yes....that charger will give you a 100% charge. Be sure to check the water level before charging for each camp-out. Only fill with distilled water.

A second battery works out well because when one drops to 12v, you can swap the batteries and charge the low one. You may find that one battery will do for an entire weekend and if it doesn't, you will sure be glad to have the spare. If you don't have hook-ups, get cozy with a neighbor that does and ask if they mind if you charge your battery at their site... ;)

If you plan to hook the batteries together, it's best to buy 2 new batteries that are exactly the same. Otherwise, the stronger one will continually be trying to charge the weaker one and will result in early failure.

Deep cycle batteries are the best. Bigger is always better.  :D
