We have just purchased a new Pilgrim Cirrus 190CE Hybrid for all the usual reasons; less setup time, more room, bathroom, and full kitchen. Hate to see the pup go but am looking forward to camping in the hybrid too. It's still camping because it has tent ends, right? The 5YO is just beside herself. She cried and cried and says she loves the old camper. I may shed a tear myself, tomorrow when I leave the pup on the lot.

Good Luck.  We just purchased a Hybrid ourselves and have yet to camp can't wait.  We still have our popup our kids have inherited it.  No more late night bathroom trips and I do mean trips I must have stumbled over more tree roots then I can count. Have fun!!!!

Congratulations on the new camper.  Hope you have many great trips in it.:)

Am really looking forward to camping in it. I can already tell it's going to tow differently than the pup. While the hemi didn't even know the pup was back there, because of the much higher profile and wind resistance, you know this one is. Not bad, but still you know it's there. I had a weight distribution hitch with the anti-sway put on. Not sure if it was really necessary or not, but its on there.

The 5yo seems to be warming up to the new camper also. She keeps asking when we're going camping in it. We're going to try and take it out locally this weekend if the weather will cooperate.

We had an 05 Niagara when we we purchased our 07 Kodiak 214 and camping isn't quite the same.  We miss the open feeling the PUP has but all the perks the HHT has makes up for that.  I really like being able to get to the bathroom or fridge w/o having to pop up.  Moving to a HTT is an adjustment but easy to make the move.

The kids didn't mind changing trailers and they love camping no matter what they sleep in.

Good luck with your new trailer.

We just bought a Jayco 19h for all of the same reasons as above.

I just "googled" your Jayco 19h and looks like we have real similar campers. Just move some of the appliances around. I do like the larger picture window next to your table though. Have you camped in yours yet? Thoughts? Impressions?

...and I just "googled" your Kodiak 214. MAN! that thing is beautiful!. Is that a master bed room in the back?

Purchased our "New to Us" Kiwi a year ago this past April. Have spent a week last fall & a week in April in it. Loved the conveniences! Solved the condensation accumulation on tents by simply adding the inexpensive solar blankets to the top of tents -- NO MORE condensation! Didn't travel but 200 miles; the cut in mileage does make a difference -- down to 11 mpg. We didn't make long trips anyway. The ability to "turtle up" during bad weather was a plus. Hope you enjoy your hybrid as much as we have.

Well, we've just spent our first night "camping" in our new hybrid and I must say it was definitely a different experience than the pup. We "camped" at the place we are storing the camper; at my SIL's farm so we didn't have any towing to do and there no gas mileage comparison to make. It was blustery and chilly last night -dropped into the low 40's and the wind buffeted the camper pretty good at times- so we didn't pop out the bunk ends and instead just made the dinette and couch into beds. We stayed quite secure and warm all night long. The best part though is that twice in the middle of the night DD '03 had to go potty and nobody had to get up go outside with her. She just went by herself to the nice warm bathroom at the rear of the camper. I'm thinking we're going to really enjoy this.  :# More to come.
