Hello
Since Fleetwood shut down I snuck in and got some E3 Jr parts from research and development and ............ ok ok my daughter really liked the yellow campers so I bought a Coleman for next to nothing and my progress is in my photos.

After a 20 year hiatus from camping because we no longer needed a place to go drink away from our parents, I am back at age 42 to introduce my daughter to camping. I'm not so sure how I will feel about the camping after all these years. Dont get me wrong, all the gadgets and toys and research is awesome, just not sure about the non-air conditioned environment in the muggy muggy Wisconsin days and nights. Not to mention those damn black flies with suction cup legs and the blood donations to the mosquitos without even getting the cookie and orange juice.

But in the spirit of fatherhood, and the project I was looking to take on, I am forging ahead with the transformation of the popup which has been fun and hoping for some quality time with my daughter away from societal pressures.

By the way - like many, I salute all of you who make it possible for us to learn and exchange ideas and information. Research is half the fun for me.

I'll update the progress of my Coleman as soon as it moves further.

Welcome back to camping!  You will find that quite a few, including me, "discover" PopUps as a return to camping as middle-aged adults introducing their new kids to the fun!

You picked a nice solid platform PopUp for your project!  For over twenty years it's been very common to find Coleman PopUps with flipped axles, bigger tires, and shocks in the most remote High Sierra campgrounds.  But, I have never seen a bright yellow one with diamond plate E3Jr. mods!! :-()
