Lydel Creek

Has anyone heard of Lydel creek campground? I was told about it by a friend before but can't seem to find it anywhere on the internet. I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong.

If not, how about any campgrounds with swimming holes or streams around them?

I was spelling it with a d instead of a t. Thats probably why I couldn't find it.

I used to go tent camping there at Applewhite Campground as a kid.  There was also a very wild open shooting area at the end of the road that we would visit to shoot a box or two of clay pigeons.

There is a stream, there are some swimming holes, and the stream is stocked with trout.  However, the place was very crowded on the weekends twenty years ago, (the last time I was there).

The private RVResort there is a lot more lush than the general surroundings and public facilities.

I too have been to Lytle Creek to shoot my guns. The last time I was there was about 23 years ago. I sold all my guns before my first child was born. They had a sign - "no shooting beyoond this point" - naturally that  sign was shot up.
